Piers Bizony's major work on the great 2001. Multiple volumes and previously unseen photographs and background to the making of the film. Simon Atkinson spent many weeks involved in the restoration of photographs for the book.

This gets to sit in the 2001 section as Ian has gone to great lengths to establish the ACTUAL dimensions which would apply to the 2001 craft. Check out his fitting the interior into the Discovery CM - no easy task!

Dennis Gilliam has contributed so much to ensuring the survival of many 2001 artifacts - his restoration of the original red helmet can be seen at the MINEHEAD section of the website. Here Dennis reveals the details of the restoration of one of the moonsuits as worn by Heywood Floyd. Dennis is an aerospace enginner by profession and is involved in numerous fascinating projects - he warrants a google search to discover the many facets of his activities.

An epic project to finally credit the real creators of Gerry Anderson's wonderful TV shows and Film projects. The designers, concept artists, modelmakers, puppet makers, set makers all of whom created magic on our TV screens and inspired a generation of artists, filmmakers and modelmakers including Simon Atkinson.
